Everywhere the Mandorinians invade go, they excpet, nay, demand, that the local people learn their language, instead of the other way around. I know what you mean. When I go to Hong Kong, mainlanders walk up to people on the street and start blasting Mandarin at them asking for directions. Then the poor Hongers try to help them as best they can and make the effort to speak Mandarin. Last week I heard a young girl say, 對唔住我唔識講普通話 to one of them. Made me smile.
